About Mantafos
Mantafos ApS was founded in Aalborg, Denmark in 2025 by Mathias Kræmmergaard Kristensen to fill a gap in the market for hygienic pumps.
The background
WingCell® grew out of a frustration over a gap in the market.
“For years, in my previous company, we searched in vain for a hygienic pump that could deliver a high pressure, preferably 7–10 bar, at a low flow, typically below 1 m³/h, efficiently and without pulsation.”
WingCell® places itself where lobe, piston and diaphragm pumps pulsate too much, where a twin screw pump is too large, inefficient, expensive and complex, and where a progressive cavity pump releases too much microplastic.
The founder
Mathias Kræmmergaard Kristensen, MSc in Engineering, has 15 years of experience as R&D Manager, CTO and Head of Development and Technology within water treatment and hygienic process equipment. He founded Mantafos ApS in 2025 and invented the new patented pump type “Rotary Wing Pump”, marketed as WingCell®.
